Importer Security Filing (ISF)
and type goods that is being imported into the United States. The ISF declaration is vital to US Homeland Security for sceening of potential dangerous cargo or terrorist threats to the United States. Late filing may result in $5,000 - $10,000 penalty. US Customs and Border Protection requires the ISF to be prior to vessel departure before 24 hours loading of the goods onto the vessel.

Customs Bond (Continuous Bond & Single Bond)
As a working definition, according to U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) regulations, a Customs Bond is “a contract which is given to ensure the performance of an obligation imposed by a law or regulation. The most common type of Customs Bond is an Activity Code 1 bond, also referred to as an import bond. An import bond is required on all commercial shipments of goods valued over $2,500 to lawfully enter the commerce of the United States. An import bond is also required on any shipment into the U.S. that is subject to other U.S. government agency requirements.

Customs Duty Refund
- Post Summary Correction (PSC)
After the duty has been paid to CBP, within 300 days and before the ACE entry is liquidated, the trade participants will be able to submit a PSC to amend the existing ACE entry. The PSC may result in being required to tender the additional duty to CBP or eligible for duty refund.

- Protest
19 U.S.C 1514, Protest against Decisions of Customs Service provides the legal vehicle for importers and interested parties to administratively contest CBP decisions related to imported merchandise. If the importer disagrees with a decision made by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) or wants to correct information previously entered on entry documents at the time of entry summary liquidation.
